Why Florentia?

Florentia is a Latin name for the city of Florence, in the region of Tuscany which is considered the birthplace of the Italian literary language and is emblematic of Italy all over the world.

Florentia Language Services is the result of years of work and learning for Olgica Andrić, Italian language and literature teacher and a court certified translator for Italian and Portuguese. Her goal is to offer her clients integrated language services including Italian classes, translations and support in all phases of learning a foreign language, i.e., translation of documents and their multiple uses. 

Information about the founder: Olgica Andrić graduated from the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, at the Department for Italian Language and Literature in June 2002 and in 2001 she completed the "Corso di formazione d'insegnanti d'italiano agli stranieri"  at the Università per stranieri Dante Alighieri di Reggio Calabria with the average grade of 58/60.   

In 2013 she was appointed certified court translator for Italian and in 2015 she was appointed certified court translator for Portuguese. 

She has been teaching and translating, since 2002 and has participated in professional development numerous trainings.  She is one of the initiators and activists in Prevodilačko srce (Translator’s Hearth) – free translations of medical documents and files for patients seeking treatment abroad.
